Parking and waiting area
VCS/Sondermind: Unfortunately, there is currently no waiting area, so you may wait in your vehicle before the appointment, and family/guests may wait there during. Currently, there is only paid street parking available for the lot. The first 30 minutes are free, and it is currently only 25 cents for the hour. Restrooms available when you come in. Wheelchair accessible. There is not WiFi service built-in at the office.
Ellie Mental Health: There is paid street and lot parking (first 30 minutes free; 25 cents for the hour). There is a waiting area, and restrooms are available. Wheelchair accessible. WiFi is available.
Can friends guests, siblings, other children join the session?
In most cases, the answer is no, as this becomes very disruptive. However, if necessary, we can discuss this further.
Weather policy
I want you to be safe, so stay home if conditions are unsafe - but please reach out as soon as you know you will not be able to make it. Unless I call you to cancel, I will be in the office as scheduled - We can easily switch to a video session.
Accommodations
At this time, we do not have an interpreter service non-English/deaf persons; translators are absolutely welcome.
Some service animals are allowed inside the building, but *must* be discussed ahead of time.
Cancelations + Illness
It is fine to cancel as you need (you can call or text and you do not need to provide a reason). However, if you do not cancel on time (24 hours or more before your session), you will be charged a fee of $125, which is not covered by insurance/HSAs. If you are prone to frequent cancelations, we will need to cancel future scheduling until your schedule becomes more consistent.
If you have ANY symptoms of something that is contagious, please switch to a video session ASAP. This includes ANY non-allergy illness, including topical contagions (such as poison ivy). Violating this policy deliberately will get you barred from the office permanently.
